The Value Hardshell cases (CG-018) feature a 3-ply, cross-grained wood construction for strength. The top is slightly arched to give an added element of protection to the instrument inside. Four gold-plated latches and one lock keep the top tightly secured so players can feel confident about the safety of their instruments. The rugged plastic handle has a comfortable grip and is tightly riveted to the body of the case. The Guardian Value Hardshell case is covered in classic black tolex for a traditional, classy look. The inside of the case features luxurious grey plush lining, with multiple padding thicknesses for maximum safety and fit. Dense foam cushions the sides of the instrument, and medium density foam provides the cushion underneath. This is a pretty well made case and is strong enough for a light person to sit on without damage. This fits my MIJ Fender Strat with a Floyd Rose perfectly. The other review mentioned a Floyd Rose wouldn't fit, but if your guitar is the same or less thickness than a strat, and the Floyd is set up correctly it should fit perfectly. On my Strat it fits like a glove, not tightly but if it was wider or taller at the horns there might be an issue. The one thing that scares me are the latches, they are standard latches but if your case is over stuffed with books or too tall of a guitar then you need to be pretty careful. If you do have a Floyd rose, make sure the action is set right and the springs and posts are set for the correct gauge of strings or it wont fit, Floyds are supposed to be level so keep that in mind (if you need help look up how to set up Floyd Rose). The case is pretty well padded with extra padding on the lid which goes from about the 3rd fret to the bridge (on a strat).I suggest you don't get this if;
your bridge is significantly higher than 2 3/4in
the with of your guitar body is more than 12in
the height of your body (to the horn/ tallest part) is over 19in
