Product Description
The Hartman Analog Flanger is a meticulous recreation of one of the early greats (not the Deluxe, not the Stereo...the original). The Hartman achieves vivid but transparent sounding flange and static-filter effects and combines them with heavy-duty true-bypass switching, LED indicator, and the ability to run off of a single 9V battery.Incorporating components critical to faithfully reproduce the signal path of the original, the Hartman exploits the tighter tolerances and lower noise floor of modern components for clarity and superior sonic fidelity. Great care was taken to establish a power supply and signal trace layout that minimize the problems with crosstalk, clock-noise, and oscillator bleed-thru that plagued many originals. The Hartman Analog Flanger completely eliminates "volume-drop" issues inherent in the original non true-bypass design. The Flange/Filter (effect "on") signal is exactly as loud as the true-bypass signal.Features:- Ultra-quiet 1% resistors- Heavy-duty True-bypass footswitch- Operates on 9v internal battery or 9-12VDC external power supply (tip-negative 2.1mm 'Boss-style' barrel adaptor)- Durable powder-coated die-cast enclosure- ON/OFF LED- Internally adjustable clock-bias for more metallic "Deluxe"-style flange effects- One Year Warranty on parts and LaborHartman Analog Flanger Pedal Review
1 of the 2 best Flangers available for the electric guitar.I bought this flanger 6 months ago. The "honeymoon" is far from over.
I did the research. This Flanger is based on the legendary Electric Mistress.
This was a 70's era Flanger produced by Electro Harmonics. THIS FLANGER SOUNDED KILLER. However this flanger had problems: loud "clock noise" & just flat out noisey. That said, the actual Flanging effect was amazing...if you could get past the noise. Hartman has taken EVERYTHING good about The Electric Mistress & improved on it. Absolutely no clock noise & simply an extremely quiet pedal, with KILLER Flanging. You like the Andy Summers Police guitar tones ? This is your pedal. You like David Gilmour Pink Floyd Flanging tones ? This is your pedal. Super LUSH, SWIRLY, KILLER Flanging, without noise. I had a Boss BF-3 Flanger I special orderd from Guitar Center. I kept it 2 weeks & took it back. This pedal sucked: EXTREMELY metallic sounding & the Flanging was not pronounced enough. I was shocked because in the 1980's I used a Boss BF-2 Flanger that was pretty darn good. I bought the Hartman & never looked back. Flangers are "funny": you don't use them all the time, but when you do, they gotta be right. Hartman COMPLETELY nails Flanging....BIGTIME !I've been playing a long time & play alot of different styles. I've worked with regional & national acts & I can honestly say This THE BEST Flanger I have ever owned. This is DEFINATELY 1 of the 2 best flangers for electric guitar.
What's the other Flanger: The ADA Flanger.
