Easy to install, no soldiering required. Great sound, only thing is you when i replaces the pots my control nobs did not fit any more. Instead of ordering new nobs, I put the nobs in a vice and slowly drilled out a larger hole. I would buy it again. I replaced a fleabass pickups and the new emg are great. Don't forget order new nobs and a 9 volt battery.
