Just ask around. You can get ones rated HG+ from Doug's Tubes and Magic Parts. My only problem is I have Amazon Prime and these will come free to me next day, assuming they are stocked by Amazon.

I have a Bugera V55. It has preamp tubes which are labelled Bugera. They look exactly like these Ruby 12AX7, but they don't have the clarity of gain as the AC5. I am pretty sure the Bugera are just Ruby regular 12AX7. The AC5 are better. They just have a good full throated roar.

I have Sylvania vintages for V1 and V3/Phase Inverter slots.

You hear alot about getting Sovtek 12AX7LPS for the PI, but the real reasoning behind that is that long plate tubes promote a fuller bass and midrange as well as being brighter. The Sovteks mentioned are longer plate than most new tubes. But beyond that they are nothing special. My Sylvanias are gorgeous.

An ideal setup for your Bugera V22 or V55 is a Tung Sol in the first slot, Ruby AC5 in the second and Sovtek LPS in the third.

Or some NOS of character in V1 and V3 and Ruby in V2. Ruby 12AX7AC5 are well known for highest gain and lowest noise.

Anyway, the one tube I bought got here next day and is awesome. 5 stars.

If you have the V55 then Tung Sol or SED Winged -=C=- are best new 6L6. Word.
