I got these picks because they are made from carbon and nylon. I have used nylon picks primarily for their durability but I never really cared for their "picking sound". Traditional picks sound much better I have always thought, but they don't last for very long (at least not for me). I figured I'd give these composite picks a try and I was very impressed ... they have a noticeable picking dynamic and they produce improved squeal harmonics. They are no more durable than traditional picks though. I will keep using them because they sound great - until someone makes a pick that sounds great and doesn't wear out so quickly!
