Seymour Duncan SH-6b Distortion Bridge Pickup, Zebra Review

I bought this to replace a duncan custom (Sh-5). I liked the custom but it was too bright in my les paul, the highs were very 'ice picky' and really hurt my ears. This pickup is wonderful. It's a pleasure to play on and listen to, and it does old classic rock as well as modern metal exceptionally well, where as the custom just didn't do what I wanted it to for modern metal. I highly recommend this pick up!

TC Electronic G-System Floor Based Guitar Effects/Management System 25 Effects, 5 Discrete Loops, Amplifier Switching Review

This system really works, there's no other board out there that has as much flexibility when it comes to integrating other pedals into an effects board system.

All the loops are on an analogue circuit placed after the digital filter and compressor and before the modulation, pitch, reverb and delay effects. The loops are designed to be used for your overdrive/distortion devices, as the G-System contains no drive function at all; it has to come from external pedals. The routing is flexible, allowing the effects to be in series, semi-parallel or parallel. This useful feature eliminates delays having reverb on them or the chorus and pitch shift affecting each other.

There are a total of 25 effects on board, which include the different types of reverb and delay etc. The G-System holds 100 factory presets and there's a further 200 user memories, all in banks of five. Accessing the editing functions is also extremely user-friendly, even though some of the switches have dual function as rotary controllers.

As well as midi in and out, there's an S/PDIF output to connect to a DAW and a USB port to update the G-System's software.

Disappointed b/c no complete breakdown of Chet's songs. Disc 1 is about basic/general stuff (alternative bass & arpeggio), and Disc 2 is about licks. I wanted to be able to play a whole song, not only the solos. There is no instruction of that sort (even no tabs included). I was not interested in what scale Chet uses, but wanted to know how Chet played the whole song (fingering and voicing)... BTW, I was surprised there was no clip of Chet's playing songs on the 2 discs.

I had purchased a Fender Villager 12-String Acoustic and discovered afterward that finding a case or gigbag to fit would be a challenge because of the unusually long headstock. I read in a blog that this case might be an option, so I ordered it. I had to remove the molded interior, fold back the cloth material at both ends, then make cuts at both ends to allow the guitar to fit in the case. I used contact cement to glue the material and the bottom of the molded interior back in place. The end result is that I now have a case that looks like it was made for this guitar. Under the circumstances it was the best and most economical solution.

I like Fender products on the whole and these strings are no exception. I strung my strat with them and love the way the bullet ends fit and look when installed. I am one of those people who don't like crooked pictures on the wall and these bullet ends look neater when installed than the little barrels. These strings are shiny and clean and look great. All strings SHOULD, but not all do! They install easily and sound very good. They last a pretty good long time and I don't have problems with them breaking like some others I have used. I like them, they are reasonably priced and are packaged pretty well so I do recommend them. I can't say how well they work on non-Fender products though.

great strings, been using these a while. These are heavier so not as easy to play but I nice deeper more mellow sound with some zip on the high end. I have playing a long time 35+ years so I know my strings. Played Rotosound forever but as a casual performer I was not playing 30 hours a week like I used to. These fit the bill perfectly for my pbass....still have the lighter gauge for my jazz and the slappy funk stuff....

Wow is all I can saw about these cool pickups!

Nice and round is how I would describe them. Meaty but not too thick. Even through the tone spectrum and nice clarity and sparkle when you turn the tone pot all the way up.

Attractively packaged - cool wax covered cloth push back wire - easily marked for correct installation.

My Strat has never sounded this good - I think I may put these pups in all of my Strats.
